|New Requirement for Pro Hac Vice Counsel|
On October 6, 2010, Chief Judge Linda R. Reade issued Administrative Order No. 10-AO-0004-P, which requires an attorney seeking to appear pro hac vice to file a motion for admission pro hac vice and attach a certificate of good standing in the jurisdiction where the lawyer primarily practices, or equivalent proof of authorization to practice. Links to the Administrative Order and the motion for admission pro hac vice may be found on this website. In US v. Kieffer, 2010 WL 3528581 (8th Cir.), the court suggested a more rigorous attorney admission review be adopted by the federal courts.
