|Court Will Remain Open|
In the event of a federal government shutdown on October 1, 2013, the United States Court for the Northern District of Iowa in Cedar Rapids and Sioux City will remain open for regular business. The federal judiciary has fee generated reserve funds to remain open for approximately 10 business days. On or about October 15, 2013 this court will reassess its situation and will remain open to support essential functions for constitutionally mandated court activities. All proceedings and deadlines will remain in effect as scheduled. Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) will remain in operation for the electronic filing of documents and the issuance of court orders and opinions.
