The court has been made aware that scammers are reaching out to people and using the names of court staff and personal information of the individuals they are calling. These elaborate spoofing scams rely on personal information to make the communication appear legitimate.  The court will not call or text individuals to demand money or notify individuals of a warrant. Please rely on the phone numbers listed on the court’s website to call the clerk’s offices in Cedar Rapids or Sioux City to confirm the validity of any contact by the court.
